Excellence in Reliability

reliability maintenance excellenceGPAllied’s approach to excellence in reliability is an all-encompassing process that, depending on the client, includes on-site maintenance management and process improvement training, coaching, and facilitation for your specific needs, timing, and budget.
When striving to achieve excellence in reliability, we work side-by-side with your management and crew to improve the entire reliability work cycle and the processes that support it.

Excellence in Reliability Approach:

Through our comprehensive approach, GPAllied helps your organization clearly understand and improve reliability performance. Our Subject Matter Experts walk you through the process of streamlining, consensus making, documenting, and institutionalizing of your organization’s reliability best practices, resulting in bottom-line cost reduction and higher equipment utilization. GPAllied provides critical support during implementation of your excellence in reliability solution and offers various products and processes to aide in sustainability and assessment.

Initiate Excellence in Reliability:

GPAllied has designed two different processes to kick off the reliability maintenance excellence program based on the size and nature of your organization. These Reliability Assessment Processes quickly identify where your biggest gaps in reliability lie and where the greatest gains can be achieved.
RAP (Reliability Assessment Process)
Throughout the RAP, we review your maintenance work practices and provide formal feedback on where your biggest gaps and most significant opportunities are. We will base this assessment on Best Practices compiled through our benchmarking efforts, which cover over 3,500 plants across all industry verticals.

During the RAP, GPAllied Subject Matter Experts perform a gap assessment (actual performance vs. best practices) through a series of interviews and analysis processes and provide a detailed report describing our findings in each of the five work streams, along with potential improvement targets identified. The standard RAP follows a process flow that ensures each step goes toward building a sustainable business case for change and has the best chance of success:

  • Leadership Workshop
  • Kick-Off Session
  • 3-Step Assessment
  • Business Case (ROAR™)
  • Opportunity Case

As a result, the final report and recommendations are delivered to you in a clear and concise fashion.

reliability maintenance excellenceVRAPTM
vRAPTM stands for VIRTUAL Reliability Assessment Process, as 80-90% of the work is done virtually. The vRAPTM process includes all of the same deliverables as the RAP process but can quickly and efficiently determine the relative order for change within a group of plants as opposed to a single plant. Through the use of web enabled meetings, self-assessments, and facilitated assessments, the overall business case for change can be quickly generated for a large group of plants.
