vRAPTM (Virtual Reliability Assessment Process)

The vRAPTM process can quickly and efficiently determine the relative order for change within a group of plants. Through the use of web enabled meetings, self-assessments and facilitated assessments, the overall business case for change can be quickly generated for a large group of plants.

What Is vRAPTM?

vRapTM stands for VIRTUAL Reliability Assessment Process, 80-90% of the work is done virtually. When combined with the preparation and follow-up work, the deliverables of vRapTM are:

  • A Maturity Ranking for each facility using a Maturity Matrix that has been customized for your Reliablity Journey
  • A 5 - Year Strategic Roadmap that shows the journey that each facility needs to make to get them from where they are to where they want to be
  • The Business Case for Change associated with making this journey
  • A detailed list of Risk to Change Factors that could prevent you from meeting your goals or achieving your ROI
  • A detailed 5 – Year Strategic Plan showing the explicit steps each facility needs to take from a project, leadership, resource allocation and organizational design perspective to meet their goals

RAP (Reliability Assessment Process)

Throughout the RAP, we review your maintenance work practices and provide formal feedback on where your biggest gaps and most significant opportunities are. We will base this assessment on our existing Maintenance Best Practices Assessment Tool, which is the starting point for many of our clients beginning their improvement journey.

During the RAP, GPAllied Subject Matter Experts provide a planning and leadership workshop (delivered 2 weeks before the assessment), a 1-day Asset Health Assurance Overview session, a review of reliability practices, and an assessment of applied condition monitoring technologies. After the education and workshop element, a 100% Theoretical Asset Health Matrix Model and the Opportunity Case are constructed. As a result, the final report and recommendations are delivered to you in a clear and concise fashion. Following RAP, organizations can choose to add on a strategic planning workshop in order to build the Return on Asset Reliability (ROAR™) business case and master plan.

Roadmap to Excellence in Reliability

GPAllied’s Asset Health Assurance Model addresses two general questions: How Much? and How Well?

How Much? refers to the percentage of asset base being covered and the number of failure modes being addressed on those assets.

How Well? refers to how we know that a facility reporting Asset Health is applying the standard to a high enough percentage of their assets to be representative, and how do we know that everyone is applying the same standards, in a comparable way, and with a comparable level of rigor?

Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM BlitzTM)

Practical. Effective. Efficient. Sustainable. Flexible.

An overall reliability strategy must be grounded in a fundamental understanding of how equipment fails. RCM BlitzTM is the hub of GPAllied’s integrated approach to designing and implementing a failure modes driven reliability strategy, returning results in a fraction of the time of traditional RCM methods. RCM BlitzTM is:

Practical:

Based on the simple seven step process developed by Nowlan and Heap, RCM BlitzTM delivers improved manufacturing reliability and a reduction in Health, Safety, and Environment incidents/accidents.

Effective:

Viewed as traditional RCM methodology, RCM BlitzTM exceeds SAE RCM Standards J1011 while engineered to be quick and extremely effective.

While some companies wait and perform Root Cause Analysis following significant failure events, RCM BlitzTM is proactive. Tasks and analysis can be performed before failures, eliminating these events before they ever occur.

Efficient:

Designed with efficiency as a top priority, RCM BlitzTM is led by co-facilitators who set a pace for the RCM team, completing the RCM cycle 30% faster than traditional methodologies.

Sustainable:

Companies who train and mentor RCM BlitzTM Facilitators using this proven methodology develop a culture that embraces RCM.

Flexible:

RCM BlitzTM is offered in a variety of formats, including On-Site Consulting, On-Site RCM Facilitation, and RCM BlitzTM Facilitator Training. We can conduct your events for you or train your personnel to facilitate internally.

RCM BlitzTM is delivered in a customizable Access database that can be modified with additional information and reporting to suit the needs of your business processes.

iReliabilityTM Asset Health Management

Integration Software

iReliability™ is a one of kind services and technology reporting platform that provides a customizable, plant-specific database allowing access to integrated Conditioned Based Monitoring (CBM) applications. iReliability™ integrates all the tools, processes, people, standards and technologies into one comprehensive asset health report.

Integration is the key.  iReliability™ integrates CBM results in a manageable database that allows the client/user to observe the “big picture” of Asset Health in their plant. In addition, iReliability™ allows the client/user to measure success by tracking results and metrics designed to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Further, iReliability™ is web-based, which allows Company leadership to understand, manage, and control the quality of their deliverable from anywhere in the world at any time.

Three – Tiered Approach

GPAllied’s Three – Tiered Approach is based on the Asset Health Matrix Tool which assists in the design/improvement of a PM/PdM Program. The technologies and tasks are assigned based on known failure modes of different components.

80% to 90% of the components will be set up as a standardized EMP. For 5% up to a maximum of 20% of the components, an RCM BlitzTM and/or RCA must be performed due to the fact that the component is very critical or a bad actor or it has specific working conditions which have an influence on the failure modes. For up to 10% of the components, a Run - To - Failure strategy has to be set up.

The Three – Tiered EMP Development Process Approach is a best practices approach which results in:
