Routine Equipment Care Improvement

GPAllied’s Routine Equipment Care (also referred to as Operator Care) Improvement process allows an organization to engage a largely untapped resource in a meaningful way to support the asset reliability efforts of the organization and a step on the way to Operational Excellence. In addition to the tangible deliverables of the process (inspection forms, problem tags, audits, etc.), we find that our approach provides additional benefit in that it immediately empowers the operators in an area; focusing their attention on measurable results and simple problem solving techniques.

Our approach consists of the following elements:

  • Identification of a Routine Equipment Care Improvement Process Champion
  • The Routine Equipment Care Leader’s Seminar
  • The Routine Equipment Care Implementation Workshop(s)

Before the training and consulting begins, we work with the site to select your own Routine Equipment Care Improvement Process Champion who will continue to learn and care for the Routine Equipment Care program as it grows and develops in the future. It is our intention to transition the skill and knowledge of our GPAllied certified facilitator to your internal Routine Equipment Care Improvement Process Champion over the course of several Implementation Workshops so that need for our services will greatly diminish over time.

The Routine Equipment Care Leader’s Seminar is a one-time event (minimum 1 Leader’s Seminar per location), which must be successfully completed by the organization. Following the completion of the initial Leader’s Seminar, additional seminars are offered on an as-needed basis.

Once the Leader’s Seminar has been completed, we will schedule one or more Routine Equipment Care Implementation Workshops. These workshops differ from the traditional training session in that we emphasize the “learn-do” approach. This being said, it is critical that the team of people selected to attend and participate in the Implementation Workshop all work in the same operating area (Routine Equipment Care Area or Production Cell), as they will be making decisions that will impact the team’s performance into the future.
